West Bengal’s political landscape was shaken today as Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered a significant injury in an accident, according to a statement released by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Thursday (March 14).
Mamata Banerjee, a prominent figure in Indian politics, was rushed to the state-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata following the incident. Reports indicate that the injury occurred when Mamata slipped and struck her head on furniture shortly after returning home from an event held in South Kolkata’s Ballygunge, as informed by TMC leaders.
The seriousness of the situation was underscored by images shared on social media, notably on the platform X (formerly known as Twitter), where Banerjee’s bleeding forehead can be seen in photographs. In response to the distressing news, the TMC appealed for public support, urging citizens to keep the Chief Minister in their thoughts and prayers.
Updates on Mamata Banerjee’s condition are eagerly awaited, as her health remains a matter of concern for both her supporters and political adversaries alike.
