…. I remember!
Poem
I wandered through the lanes,
That was once a park.
Barrened and flattened,
It has now lost its spark.
Butterflies and fireflies,
And the kids with big eyes
was the reason why the days were bright.
Now it’s just a miserable plight,
Logging & chopping,
Trees are falling, and nature is bleeding.
Howling & lashing,
The sky is on fire.
Unleashing all its wrath,
The temperature soared,
and breaths were stifled.
Trees that once held deep,
are screaming for survival.
And humans that once laughed,
are pleading in aghast.
I wandered through the lanes,
That was once a park.
Barrened and flattened,
It has now lost its spark.
The buzzing of the bees,
and the chattering of the kids,
was the reason why the days were bright.
Now it’s just a miserable plight,
Trees are falling
tears are falling
And along with it, we are also falling.
Let’s cherish it and not let it perish.
I wandered through the lanes,
That was once a park.
Barrened and flattened,
It has now lost its spark.
I remember it was once evergreen,
but now it’s never green…
